In my work, and in what I’ve done, there is a real magic and power in the ancient ritual of tattooing.
History
History
Since a young kid, I have been fortunate to be exposed to several artforms and different cultures. This allowed me to hone my skills while also developing my own unique style.
The idea
In the art world, I could not sit still. I was often experimenting, mixing, and inventing. I found the ritual of tattoo to be the ultimate form of expression. The art connected with my other events and projects.
Mission
In addition to creating unique art pieces that display your original ideas and identity, I am motivated to bring together other artists. I aim to continue to expand and unite the art scene so that all art forms are uplifted.
As a tattoo is grounded on living skin, so its essence emotes a poignancy unique to the mortal human condition.A tattoo is a true poetic creation, and is always more than meets the eye.
Styles
I have done tattoos in all styles, including my own original design. Each art piece is a unique statement and often can not be defined by a label. However, it is important to have a firm foundation in various art styles to help build creativity and inspiration to draw upon. I am continuing to enhance and expand my skillsets.
Traditional Tattoo
Traditional imagery, symbols, and tribal markings related to the culture of a long-established community.
Realism Tattoo
Realism and portraiture places a heavy emphasis on detail. This style takes several long sessions.
Illustrative Tattoo
Combines realism tattoo to a fantasy world. It includes new school and animated-style tattoos.
Tech Tattoo
Biomechanical, horror, and steampunk-styled tattoos venture into the abstract world.
Events
Tattoo Events and Exhibitions
Working alongside other tattoo artists during an event packed with other art forms is an amazing experience. See you at the next show.
"For me tattoos that stand out above the rest"
— BRYANT MCGILLGot a great tattoo by Emiel. Highly recommended and I will definitely return to Admiraal Tattoo
“Best and most talented tattoo professional ever.”
— MALCOLM GLADWELLI just got a 3/4 sleeve from Mike Fatutoa. He is a freehand Polynesian master, the best in the states. He and his family provide a wonderful tattoo experience. I can't relay how pleased I am. Mahalo.
"5 stars for the sacred center tattoo"
— CHARLES F. LUMMISI just had my first Samoan tattoo on my chest to bicep. Mike uses free hand which is amazing. He's gifted tattoo artist. You will be more than satisfied with the outcome. I highly recommend Mike without a doubt!!!!!
"Will be the first place I visit again when back in Amsterdam."
— M.F. MOONZAJERMost of my tattoo's are from Emiel. He's a great guy and I love his work. I come with a crappy drawing as I can't draw very well and he turns it into art. What I like is that I can say what I'm seeing in my head, my vision and he turns it into what I want. It shouldn't be rushed. So he won't rush. They're Tattoo artists, and that's what you're getting and it's not extremely expensive either. So next tattoo plan is going to Admiraal, AGAIN..
"Big Mike is the best. I am happy i found him.”
— T. SCOTT MCLEODI saw Big Mike this past weekend. He is the best. I am happy i found him. He just finished some great work on my arm. I plan on going back to have him clean some other work up. Go see him, you will be happy. Hopefully his Pops is around, he made my visit even better, because he looks and acts like my own.
"He's a really gifted tattooist!”
— MANDY HALEI was looking to have some cleanup work done to a band on my leg, but didn't want to just go to some shop that would imitate what they consider a Polynesian style. So I was incredibly happy to find an artist like Mike in the area.
He's a really gifted tattooist - lots of knowledge in traditional styles and motifs. He's also great about reviewing what you're looking to have done and (in my case) working to clean up any sub-par work.
Prices were really reasonable and you'll be more than satisfied with the final results.
